Last week on ABC's "Good Morning America," Mitt Romney said he would define "middle-income" as between $200,000 to $250,000 a year and less.
He is totally out of touch with the reality of what ordinary Americans deal with every day. The 2008 census reported the medium income as $50,233. This would make the middle class income range $37,675 to $75,350.

How can you elect someone who has no concept of what the average American deals with... living pay check to pay check ?

If only we all had been born into a family of privilege but this is not reality. He has never had to wonder how the electric bill would get paid, or had to eat potato soup.

I urge any American's to read into his past, for minorities and women please check into his Mormon religion. Mormon women are barred from the priesthood and most senior leadership positions. Mormon tradition strongly encourages women to be homemakers, sounds like a lot of fun, right?
From the mid-1800s until 1978, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) had a policy against ordaining black men of African descent to the church's lay priesthood. This resulted in black members being unable to participate in some temple ordinances considered necessary for salvation. That doesn't sound very Christian ?

This is not to suggest he has skeleton's in the closet, just please make sure you know who you are voting for..

To the many who may not be from the US please remember the US has a lot of 'pull' in global decisions, this election of a new American president can affect the world.

In my lifetime, neither party has ever really offered a "great" choice in presidential elections. This election is more of the same. Two rich guys vying for money, control and power. Obama has already proven he's not good at the job and Romney will no doubt do as poorly as Obama did (but in different ways) if he gets elected.

In either case, the rich will get richer, the poor will get poorer, cronies will get contracts and political appointments and the "little" people will suffer.

I fear little about his Mormonism and care more about his crony capitalism. His dealings with Bain Capital proves that he only care about the free market when it suits the need of big business, in which case it isn’t a “free” market but actually one tilted in the favor of giant corporations.

You are so right, he is only concerned with a 'free' market when it affects his business...and that of his wealth friends.

This is my thing with Libertarians.

Libertarians agree with Progressives so often, yet disagree so often. It's the ultimate love hate relationship :/

Well, the way I see it, it’s going to be the future paradigm, aside from the current false dichotomy of liberal/conservative.

Agreed. "That to secure these rights, Government are instituted among men, deriving their powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of Government becomes destructive of those ends, it is the right of the People to alter or abolish it, and institute new Government….”

and until they end the wars and dismantle the bases over seas, (still in Germany, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, all the new ones in the middle east)

Hmm, wonder why we're in debt, maybe because our government is trying to manage an empire.

Wow you read my mind, I was just discussing this with a co-worker. Japan has been trying to get us out, we have no reason to keep spending millions there. Pearl Harbor was 1941 and Japan is our ally now.
We are not intended to be a 'world government'.

you know on a one dollar bill under the pyramid on the back there is Latin writing. I can't remember the Latin, but it translates to Secular New Order,

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but is America actually trying to make the new world order a reality?

Some call me a Conspiracy Theorist but that's far from the truth.
Most American's are happy being blind to the world, they think because they watch the local news it's enough but our country is in trouble and we need to look at the whole picture. We have become the world police and New world order it's just scary ... but you are right.
